Medical Equipment Case Study
Since our inception in 1972, we have provided metal fabrication for customers in many industries, with expertise around the specific requirements and industry standards for each.
One of our customers in the medical industry required custom control housing, which our team was able to develop. Using computer numerical control (CNC) controlled press brakes and punch presses, along with various automatic hardware insertion equipment and a powder line coating conveyor, we were able to develop the desired product cost-effectively and efficiently, meeting the client’s required timeline of five weeks.
The end result was a control housing measuring 12″ in length, 9″ in height, and 14″ in width, made from a .125″-thick aluminum sheet. Throughout the fabrication process, we were able to maintain ±.005″ dimensional tolerances. At this time, we manufacture anywhere from 50 to 250 units with each order.
Key features of this medical device enclosure include:
- Silkscreening
- Counterbored holes in certain areas, ensuring the fastener sits flush with the surface of the workpiece
- Easy-to-clean gray micro-texture powder
